Linda Van Meurs

Chartered Financial Planner

A dedicated Financial Planner passionate to help you live the life you want.

I enjoy working with a cross section of clients ranging from younger accumulators in their 30s and 40s to those whose working days are optional or behind them and are now enjoying the fruits of their labour.

I have an analytical mind but also love travel and languages. I therefore chose to do an engineering degree at Brunel University with my third year at the ETH in Zurich, Switzerland. After university, I joined Accenture as a consultant in their Financial Services practice. Working for Accenture was both varied and challenging but after more than a decade of large IT and change programme deliveries, I realised that I preferred consulting and advising on a more personal and individual level with more tangible and often more immediate outcomes. In 2009, I therefore decided to retrain and obtain the qualifications and experience required to practise as a Financial Planner.

I love meeting people and hearing their stories, dreams and aspirations. I also love looking for ways to improve things / make things work. My job allows me to do both of these in abundance and seeing the very real positive impact we can help bring about in our clients’ lives as a result gives me a real buzz.

The fact that I get to work alongside a team of talented and like-minded colleagues makes the job all the more enjoyable still.

Likes: Outside of work, I like to spend time with family and friends, walk the dog, travel, camp (occasionally glamp), ski, swim, play tennis, run and participate in other outdoor pursuits. I’m also (too) easily persuaded to partake in charity challenge events (those that are within my physical capacity).

Dislikes:  Giving up and butter

I would most like to share lunch with:  Barack & Michelle Obama and Ant & Dec
